At Puttshack, our goal is simple – to create a space where everyone can come together, have fun, and feel included. This April, in celebration of Autism Acceptance Month, we’re shining a light on our partnership with KultureCity, an organization dedicated to increasing accessibility for individuals with sensory processing needs.
Did you know that one in four individuals in the U.S. have a sensory need or invisible disabilities? That’s why we’ve worked hard to ensure that all 16 of our U.S. locations are certified Sensory Inclusive™ by KultureCity. This means we’re officially equipped to offer a more inclusive experience for all of our guests, with sensory bags available at every venue to support anyone who might need them.
This initiative is just one part of our larger commitment to inclusivity. From our ADA-compliant courses to our innovative Trackaball™ technology (which makes keeping score a breeze), we’re constantly looking for ways to make Puttshack accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We’ve also got a menu that’s inclusive of various dietary needs, because fun and food should go hand-in-hand for everyone.
In honor of Autism Acceptance Month, we’re also hosting a fundraising event across all our U.S. venues. From April 1-30, 20% of each 9-hole mini golf game booked through puttshack.com/kcfundraiser will go directly to KultureCity. It’s a simple way to have fun and support an important cause.
To make sure every guest feels comfortable before they visit, we’ve partnered with KultureCity to feature our venues on their website, where you can learn about the sensory-inclusive options we have in place. This helps everyone plan ahead, making your visit to Puttshack as enjoyable as possible.
Last spring, our then-14 U.S. venues had all achieved KultureCity’s Sensory Inclusive ™ certification, a milestone that marked a significant step in our ongoing commitment to making our spaces welcoming and accommodating for all guests. This initiative is a continuation of our promise to certify all new venues within six months of opening, a goal we set last year to ensure accessibility and inclusivity from the outset. We have since opened two additional venues that have received this certification, as well.
At Puttshack, we Care Deeply about making a positive impact, and we’re excited to continue partnering with KultureCity to create a more inclusive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
